How It Works
From builder's workbench to collector's shelf — every custom 1-of-1 build goes through AI photo grading, acceptance, shipping, and in-house hands-on verification before hitting the auction floor. Only builds that sell receive a COA and permanent registry listing.
Builder Submits
Builders submit their custom 1-of-1 diecast cars with photos and build details through our online form.
AI Photo Grading
Your submitted photos are graded by AI for an initial review and preliminary score. This is the first step in our two-step grading process.
Accepted & Approved
We review your AI score and photos. If your custom 1-of-1 build meets our standards, you get accepted and we send shipping instructions.
Ship to Us
Once accepted, you ship your custom 1-of-1 build to Appalachian Outlaw Diecast. We handle it with care from the moment it arrives.
In-House Final Grading
Every build is graded hands-on in-house across 8 criteria (1–10 each) for a total score out of 80. This verifies and finalizes the AI grade. Must score 50 or higher to qualify for auction.
Classified & Goes to Auction
Based on the final score, each build is classified: Outlaw (50–64, $50+), Elite (65–74, $80+), or Masters (75–80, $125+) and goes live for collectors to bid on.
Sold → COA & Registry
Only when a build sells does it receive a Certificate of Authenticity with a unique registry number. Sold cars are permanently listed in the Appalachian Outlaw Diecast Registry. No sale, no COA, no registry entry.
Auction Classes
Every submission is graded on 8 criteria (1–10 each) for a total score out of 80. That score determines the tier and starting bid. Must score 50 or higher to qualify. Final sale price is determined by collector demand during the live auction.
Solid customs with clean execution. Wheel swaps, single-color repaints, basic mods. A great starting point for builders entering the auction.
Higher-detail builds that show real skill. Multi-step paint, detailed wheels, custom decals, and intentional design.

All prices shown are starting bid prices. Final sale price is determined by collector bidding during the live auction. Builds below 50 points do not qualify.
80-Point Grading System
8 criteria, scored 1–10 each. Total score out of 80. Must score 50 or higher to qualify for auction. AI grades first from photos, then verified in-house.
Two-Step Grading
Step 1: AI grades your build using submitted photos for an initial review. Step 2: In-house hands-on physical inspection to verify and finalize the classification. Final grade is confirmed only after the in-house inspection.

If your diecast doesn’t sell, you’re in control. You can rerun it in another auction, sell it on one of our other platforms, or we’ll ship it back to you.

If a build scores 8, 7, 8, 9, 7, 8, 7, 8 across the 8 categories, the total is 62 out of 80 — placing it in the Outlaw tier with a $50+ starting bid.
Final classification is confirmed only after the in-house inspection.

We only auction custom 1-of-1 diecast cars. No factory releases, no duplicates, no mass-produced items. Every car must be a unique, one-of-a-kind custom build.
Every car that enters our auction house must be registered, graded, and certified. No exceptions. List every car you want graded and added to the auction in your submission.
We use an 80-point system: 8 categories, 1–10 points each, total score out of 80. Must score 50 or higher to qualify.
Once accepted, you ship the cars to us. While in our possession, we exercise reasonable care. If anything happens to your build, we pay your minimum asking bid plus shipping.
